All the King's Men (1949)
Short description
The drama movie is directed by Robert Rossen.
Short description
The film shows the troubles Willie Stark gets through. He wants to become governor. Willie speaks to the common people (hicks) knowing very well what are the problems they have. Although he has strong enemies, Willie does not let himself be intimidated and continues to promote his ideas and candidacy.
The character of Willie Stark is very well outlined by his deeds. He even fulfills his promises to those who voted for him, but it also does unclean things. Willie is lured by the powers he gained, he is wanting to have even more power.

Movie ending
The end of the film is a somewhat unexpected one, coming at a time that it seemed to be glorious for our protagonist. Willie he had come to live in a world that he himself had built, in which he had managed to avoid justice, the end the film being a consequence of his actions. It is somehow a culmination of the idea that the director wants to convey, as that all are paid until the end. It's somehow what even Willie Stark thought: that in order to do good, you sometimes have to be an outlaw.
