Short description
Coco (2017) is an animated musical fantasy film from Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. It tells the story of a young Mexican boy named Miguel who dreams of becoming a musician, despite his family's generations-old ban on music. With the help of his deceased great-great-grandfather, Miguel embarks on a journey to the Land of the Dead to find his musical idol and discover the true meaning of family.
Coco is an incredibly beautiful and heartfelt film that celebrates Mexican culture and traditions. The animation is stunning, with vibrant colors and intricate details that bring the Land of the Dead to life. The characters are all wonderfully realized, from Miguel's lovable dog Dante to his supportive family members. The voice cast is also excellent, with Anthony Gonzalez delivering a heartfelt performance as Miguel and Benjamin Bratt providing a strong presence as Ernesto de la Cruz.
The music in Coco is one of its strongest elements, with original songs by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez that capture the spirit of Mexico. From the opening number "Remember Me" to Ernesto de la Cruz's showstopping "Seize the Moment," each song adds something special to the story. The score by Michael Giacchino also helps set the mood for each scene, from lighthearted moments to more emotional ones.
Overall, Coco is an amazing film that will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted. It's a wonderful celebration of Mexican culture that will make you laugh, cry, and sing along with its catchy tunes. Highly recommended for all ages!
