Dressed to Kill (1980)

Short description

Dressed to Kill is a mistery movie directed and written by Brian De Palma. One of psychiatrist's patients is a murderer who goes after the high-class blonde call girl who witnessed the murder.

The film contains many moments of suspense, like those on the block, those on the train and those at the end.

The characters are professional

The psychologist discusses with great calmness with the patient and also when he is told about the crime. The psychologist gives evidence of professionalism by keeping his patient identity anonymous, even though he knew he was a dangerous person.

The psychologist defends his patient perhaps too much. From here, viewers can realize that it is a relationship a little more special between them. But few will realize the true identity of the psychologist.

The chief of police knows how to impose himself. It causes Kate to look for the real killer by the fact that he can accuse her of murder, Kate being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The chief of police is also the one who saves her at the end of the movie.

The victim's son is a very meticulous person. He tries to find out the true identity of the murderer. It sees everything in a logical manner, but not even he can realize what's really going on. Kate on the other hand is very confused, spectators being able to feel this confusion quite well within the necessary limits understanding the film. Precisely because of the confusion she cheats on her husband with a stranger without him saying at least one word.

Movie ending

The ending is unexpected for most of the spectators. But it is not a spectacular ending, but a rather dull one. But it is well explained, so that no one will be left with doubts related to what happened.
